"A sweet couple" is the way you hear people describe Rebecca and Fernando. Surrounded by loving families and guests, they had the perfect wedding day, exchanging vows at St. Catherine of Siena church in Pittstown, and then celebrating at their reception at the Westin Governor Morris www.westingovernormorris.com in Morristown, NJ.
We were happy to be back at the Park Savoy www.theparksavoy.com/index.htm last week for the wedding of Kristin Tukel and David Johnson. Weather for the day was classic New Jersey summer--hot and humid. The thunderstorms held off and they were able to have the outdoor ceremony that they had planned. A sumptuous cocktail hour followed and then a party broke out! Here's a look at some of the memorable moments...
At seventeen, Sarah and Evan were both members of the Philadelphia Youth Symphony. One day after practice, Evan slipped Sarah a note telling her how pretty she was. It was the beginning of a great friendship but it took Evan a few more years to seal the deal. With friends and family looking on at the Madison Hotel Conservatory recently, they signed on the dotted line and made it a permanent duet!
All of us here at Rob Kneller Portrait Design love to photograph weddings at the Madison Hotel. We were recently there to photograph the wedding of Tracy and Darren. After seeing British born Darren in his tux, our photographer, Janice, nominated him to take over the James Bond role in any upcoming episodes. Tracy, of course, was smashing in her fabulous wedding dress. Take a look!
We recently photographed the Daytop New Jersey Gala 2010 at the Madison Hotel in Convent Station, New Jersey. The honoree this year was Father Joe Hennion who founded the Daytop facility in Mendham, NJ. Father Joe is recently retired and is currently residing in Hawaii but he made the trip back to the Garden State to raise a few more dollars for Daytop. As one attendee noted, "When you see Father Joe wearing his collar, you know you better reach for your checkbook!"
New Jersey's Governor Christie, a long time supporter of Daytop, joined the throng to pay tribute to Father Joe, sharing some of his personal memories.
Daytop provides a comprehensive drug and alcohol treatment program combined with an education program for teenagers, helping them to redirect their lives. The evening featured testimony from graduates who had gone on to great achievements.
One really great part of the program is that Daytop Special treats kids without adequate financial resources and/or in need of an alternative to incarceration.
We had two delightful children in for a portrait session recently. They were great photo subjects--which should be no surprised since big brother Victor already has a string of professional modeling assignments under his belt. Most recently, he did a photo shoot for Parents magazine and was featured last Christmas in a Nordstrom's catalog. Little sister Scarlett is following in her brother's footsteps and was recently signed by a well known agency in NYC. We think it won't be long before she takes over the spotlight!
